Five people charged in alleged 'smuggling scheme,' Texas officials say



Texas officials on Wednesday announced charges against five individuals allegedly involved in “a smuggling scheme,” one of whom is accused of leading authorities on a chase earlier this week before crashing a vehicle, ultimately killing multiple illegal immigrants he was allegedly transporting.
