Gordon makes landfall, child in mobile home storm’s first fatality



Powerful winds from Tropical Storm Gordon have begun lashing the coast of Alabama and western Florida panhandle as the storm is expected to make landfall and strike parts of the U.S. Gulf Coast by Tuesday night and potentially turn into a hurricane before then, officials said.
